FIPA Vacuum Cups
All vacuum cups have the same basic function; lifting and shifting. However the design of vacuum cups can vary depending on the shape, size and material of the objects that is to be handled. Vacuum cups can be flat, have folds, be oval and also have supporting ribs. No matter what type of vacuum cup you need, Enkosi will definitely have the right FIPA vacuum cup to meet your requirement.
Using FIPA vacuum cups you benefit from:
1. The largest selection of vacuum cups for material handling, automation and robotics technology world wide.
2. A range of vacuum cup accessories ideally matched to your needs; suction fingers, spring plungers, fittings etc.
3. Years of experience in the development of vacuum cups, personal consultation, design and manufacturing of specialised vacuum cups.

Type A: FIPA flat vacuum cups The FIPA flat vacuum cups offer lateral stability. This is due to the shape of the cup during the suction process and positional accuracy when depositing the material. Supporting ribs in the vacuum cup provide for even more lateral firmness and prevent slippage. The higher degree of lateral stability is particularly useful for vertical lifting operations. The supporting ribs on the inside of the vacuum cups increase the active suction area and in turn the suction force. This essentially allows for a higher rate of acceleration during the suction process. The increased suction area and suction force can give significant advantages to materials handling on fast clock cycles. The FIPA flat vacuum cups without internal supporting ribs are suitable primarily for handling parts with a flat or slightly curved surface. All FIPA flat vacuum cups are available in a range of materials to match any application. |

Type B: FIPA Bellow vacuum cups The bellowed vacuum cups are often referred to as accordion type cups. This cup is able to adjust its size as it approaches the surface of an object. This type of cup is particularly suitable for very light and sensitive materials that have uneven surfaces, such as film or paper. What makes this cup so effective is the fact that this cup can be compressed and extended during suction. This cup can facilitate level compensation so that parts that may have varying heights can be lifted easily. |

Type C: FIPA Oval and rectangular vacuum cups The shape of a vacuum cup determines its strength. The larger the suction face, the greater the force with which it can hold a work piece. The FIPA oval and rectangular vacuum cups provide a large surface area on products that have limited area for suction. They are used in the following applications: 1. Where round vacuum cups fail, due to limited space availability. Oval and rectangular vacuum cups can handle very deep-structured surfaces without any problem. This type of cup is available in different sizes ranging from 4 x 2mm to 800 x 400mm and all designed to lift heavy work pieces as well as constrained spaced surfaces. |
